Prevention & Support Services
Prevention & Support Services is a division of The Children’s Advocacy Center that works with parents and parents-to-be on pregnancy case management and life skill development. Highly-trained case managers experienced in well-baby care, parenting and life management skills work closely with clients in group settings as well as on an individual basis in the home.
Our goal is to help parents establish and maintain healthy habits and family stability by offering support, education and guidance before and after birth. The program is voluntary and our services are free. We customize our services to meet your needs, including:
Support services – stress reduction, assistance with basic infant supplies, home visits as needed and advocacy
-
Educational services – childbirth preparation, parenting skills, child growth and development, nutrition, independent living skills, educational literature and child safety
-
Guidance – referrals to community resource programs and assistance with applications for AFDC, food stamps, WIC, Medicaid, et al
Prevention & Support Services is funded by United Way, Children’s Service Council, Children and Family Services, Flagler County Human Services, grants and donations.
