-
Non-offending caretakers/siblings
-
Sexually reactive youth ages 4 to 11
-
Families who are reunifying after the Department of Children & Families has been involved for issues related to child abuse/neglect (these services exclude reunification of children with adult sexual offenders)
-
Adult victims of childhood sexual abuse.
FACTTS Validates Need For Services: FACTTS obtains a Hotline Abuse Report, Police Report or Child Protection Team report to substantiate the need for victim counseling services. Because many crime victims are afraid to report the crime, trauma services are also available to all trauma victims seeking couseling services.
Outreach To Diverse, At-risk Population: FACTTS maintains 6 counseling centers in geographically accessible locations in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, Enterprise and Bunnell. Hours of operation are dictated by client need. School-based counseling is available in some areas.
No-Cost Specialized Trauma Counseling for Needy Families: Therapists provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a research-based modality that is accepted best-clinical practice. Counseling consists of individual, family and group therapy, crisis counseling, information and referral, aftercare, follow-up and assistance filing Victim’s Compensation claims. No one is denied service because of inability to pay or because their insurance benefits have been exhausted.
No Waiting List: FACTTS receives referrals from Law Enforcement, DCF, Community Partnership for Children, schools, State Attorney’s Office, Child Protection Team, and directly from the community. Intake appointments are scheduled within 7 days of receipt of referral.
Outcome Data Improves Service Delivery: As a participant in the agency-wide Children’s Advocacy Center’s Performance & Quality Improvement Program, FACTTS, collects outcome data from Case Record Reviews, Client Satisfaction Forms, Incident/Accident Reports, Client Grievance Forms and program monitoring events. This data is distributed quarterly to Senior Management and Board of Directors for analysis to determine ways in which service delivery can be improved.
Excellent Documented Outcomes
In a site visit review from Council on Accreditation in December, 2009, FACTTS met or exceeded all national standards for a mental health program.
Monitoring reviews by Community Partnership for Children, State of Florida Sexual Abuse Treatment Program, Victim of Crimes Act Grant, Volusia County, and Magellan found that FACTTS met or exceeded all contractual requirements and outcome measures. |
